U by Uniworld’s fresh new take along the Mekong River

Announcing: U by Uniworld Mekong River journey.  As a new river cruise line that’s set to embark in 2018, U by Uniworld caters to a energetic crowd focusing on a more modern and active itinerary keeping the same luxuries expected from river cruising.

U by Uniworld currently sails the Seine, Rhine, Main, and Danube river.

Their next river cruise will be sailing the Mekong River in Vietnam and Cambodia.

Sailing on the Mekong river through Vietnam and Cambodia is one of the worlds most humbling and memorable experiences.  The native people you meet along the way lead the simplest way of life, filled with kindness and love.  You’ll learn their unbelievable recent history and witness their ancient culture.

Not much detail has come out other than the river ship will be called The M and it will launch on the Mekong River in 2020/2021.  Stayed tuned for more details.

U by Uniworld was originally created for the 21 to 45 year old traveler.  This has been changed to include all travelers.  Their European sailings are floating hotels with a restaurant, bar, yoga studio, gym, coffee house, rooftop lounge and nightclub all on board.  Read more here.

Energy and nightlife on a European river cruise

The Europe river cruise market is about to get infused with some energy!  U by Uniworld is a cruise line that was originally targeted towards younger travelers ranging from 21-45.  This was however recently changed to include ALL TRAVELERS who wanted to experience the rivers, but at the same time, add some spice to their experience.

In the past, river cruising was more geared towards a more mature crowd.  But that’s quickly changing.  Younger people, including millennial travelers, love the idea of being dropped into the center of major cities in Europe to experience the food, culture, nightlife, and way of life.

The difference between a river cruise and a land tour is that you’ll unpack just once, and travel between one destination and another in style and comfort.  Dock right in the center of the city and start exploring!

There are no long bus rides from one city to the next.  The ships are floating hotels with a restaurant, bar, yoga studio, gym, coffee house, rooftop lounge and nightclub all on board.

There are currently itineraries that visit 27 cities on 4 rivers (Seine River, Rhine River, Main River, and Danube River).
Some of the highlights include:
  • Paris, France
  • Amsterdam, Netherlands
  • Frankfurt, Germany
  • Vienna, Austria
  • Bratislava, Slovakia
  • Budapest, Hungary

Cruises range from 7 nights or a longer “super cruise” that’s 14 or 21 nights.  There are 9 river cruises to choose from.

U by Uniworld has 2 river ships in their fleet.  Both are stylish with ultra modern amenities.  The B, sails on France’s Seine.  The A, sails the Rhine, Main, and Danube.

Who is the U by Uniworld traveler?

  • Anyone looking for more nightlife and energy in their European river cruise
  • Group of friends
  • Anniversary celebration
  • Young couples
  • Solo travelers
  • Honeymoon vacation
  • Babymoon last hurrah
  • Birthday celebration
  • Just because you need a much needed break!

U by Uniworld is owned and operated by Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection, a luxury river cruise line that has been in operation since 1976.  Uniworld is very highly rated and reviewed.  They’re one of the BEST on the European rivers.
