Four Seasons bringing a luxury resort to a private island in Belize

5-Star luxury is coming to Belize.  Four Seasons plans to build a resort and residences on the private island of Caye Chapel in Belize.

Packed with both culture and adventure, Belize is one of the best vacation destination spots in Central America.   You get the best of both worlds with a coastline on the Caribbean Sea and an inland jungle.

Four Seasons Caye Chapel will be a luxury destination for the travelers and residence owners who are looking for the private luxury island experience.  It is scheduled to open in 2021.

So where is Caye Chapel?

The small island is located in the Belize archipelago in the Caribbean Sea.  The island is 16 miles from the main island of Belize City.  Getting there is easy, either a 30 minute boat ride or 10 minute flight.

The 280 acre island is outlined by 6 miles of pristine white sand beaches.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Caye Chapel plans on building:

  • 100 guest rooms and suites with overwater bungalows
  • Approximately 50 Private Estate lots – these can be designed and built to your preference
  • 35 Private Residences

Each of the private and residence lots will have private beach and golf course access.  Choose to live on the east side of the island to enjoy the sunrises or the west side for the sunsets.

As with all Four Seasons properties, there will be plenty of amenities.  Here are a few:

  • 18-hole golf course designed by Greg Norman and Lorena Ochoa
  • Tennis courts
  • Health and wellness facilities
  • Union Harbour & Marina with a collection of shopping, dining, drinking, and entertainment
  • Young residents club
  • Two beach clubs
  • Sunrise Sanctuary – which is an ideal place for focus, meditation and silent sports.
  • Private airstrip

The island also features the Fabien Cousteau Nature and Conservation Institute and Adventure Center.  Fabien Cousteau is a world renowned oceanographic explorer, conservationist and documentary filmmaker.

Caye Chapel is within viewing distance to the UNESCO World Heritage designated Belize Barrier Reef System, the largest reef system in the northern hemisphere.

And don’t forget, this is an island where you can snorkel, paddle board, scuba dive, boat expeditions and many other aquatic adventures.
